Alignment
and Training

We work with electeds and public managers to lay the foundation for a solid process. Initial discussions help your administration to align on what a citizens’ assembly is and what it can do for your community. As buy-in builds, we can convene ‘place-based schools’ for more intensive consideration of the process and its components and exploration of case studies.

Design

Our macro-level design support is tailored to your team. What question will the assembly tackle, and how will local officials respond to recommendations? Assemblies are no- or low-tech, but they are still complex; we help governments save money and time and build local muscle by mapping existing resources and advising on procurement for where external support is needed. We stick with you through implementation, trouble-shooting issues as they arise, ensuring recommendations will land effectively, and offering oversight support. We also offer training for facilitation teams.

Evaluation

A critical component in helping your team understand impact and embed the experience in your administration’s practices. What worked, and what will you do differently next time? Our detailed case study is also a useful transparency tool for the public, articulating what happened, who the assembly heard from, and how it was run.
