NORTH AMERICA Programs Learning Series Local-level Citizens’ Assemblies Deliberative State Governance Theory of Change About Us

40 passionate advocates from across 16+ U.S. states and Canadian provinces gathered for a two-day deep dive into citizens’ assemblies. Hosted by a global team of seasoned practitioners, the training offered hands-on experience in the design and facilitation of assemblies—from recruitment by democratic lottery to deliberation design.

The room buzzed with energy as participants explored how to bring people from all walks of life into meaningful public decision-making. By the end, connections had been forged, skills sharpened, and new projects sparked across North America. A growing movement took one big step forward.
