Event for the first Democratic Intergroup in the European Parliament

As a result of the campaign Democracy International e.V., FIDE – Europe, Alliance4Europe, European Alternatives, The ECI Campaign and Make.org co-hosted an event in the European Parliament, led by Michał Wawrykiewicz and supported by civil society organisations, to push for the creation of the very first Democracy Intergroup in the European Parliament. This initiative aimed to strengthen democracy, reinforce the rule of law, and enhance citizen participation across Europe, particularly in light of the current geopolitical situation, the urgent need for resilient democratic systems, including digital democracy.

The MEPs who joined us and shared their valuable insights: Michał Wawrykiewicz (European People's Party), Sergey Lagodinsky (The Greens/EFA in the European Parliament), Chloé Ridel (Socialists and Democrats Group in the European Parliament), and Nathalie Loiseau and Veronika Cifrová Ostrihoňová (Renew Europe).
